I oversee all creative the agency produces.
Sometimes the answer you are looking for is found in the question you never never thought to ask. My job is to seek out those questions and make sure the right story is being told, for the right reason and to the right people. From collaborative workshops to branding initiatives to content packaging to website design, I ensure that we are always putting our best creative foot forward while being mindful of a client’s needs, goals and expectations.
What You Won’t Learn From My Bio
I love Christmas music. This isn’t your run of the mill, Top 40 radio station kind of holiday music, though. I search for out-of-print vinyl from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Stuff that was sold at gas stations or was part of a promotion for buying a washing machine. I especially look for albums that have “originals” on them. A song the artist probably hoped would become part of everyone’s Christmas traditions, but was forgotten in a dollar bin. I have enough music to listen for close to 2 weeks straights, 24hrs a day and never have a repeat. Much to the chagrin of my co-workers. Some of my favorites are “Ruth Lyons’ Ten Tunes of Christmas,” “Christmas with Big ‘Tiny’ Little” and “Phillips 66 presents Tijuana Christmas.”
The Fine Print
I have more or less spent my entire creative career at Rattleback. I’ve learned from those that came before me and stepped into their shoes as I progressed up the corporate ladder. My first memorable project for the company was designing a freezer wrap for Nestlé Ice cream way back in 1998. I remember thinking how cool it was to be doing something that would sit in convenience stores all across the world. And, it was! It was surreal to see one while on a road trip through Colorado at a random rest stop. Since then I’ve both designed and lead projects that have won numerous local, national and international awards including National ADDY awards for the nation’s best advertising campaigns and REBRAND 100 awards for the most successful rebranding initiatives in the world. More recently I’ve expanded my knowledge set into the world of video and motion graphics and am looking forward to where that takes me, the agency and our clients.
